We are taking the next step in this regard with the addition of a new Senior Project Manager.The Senior Project Manager will be part of the Middle East Buildings Team. They will report to the buildings department Head of ProjectsSenior Project Managers are expected to lead, manage and deliver billable and profitable projects based on their domain (buildings) expertise as well as being expected to have a deep knowledge, understanding and application of project management disciplines.Must have strong leadership skills and be capable of adapting leadership style when taking specific actions and decisionsMust have experience in delivery of buildings project – design and project managementStakeholder management – Maintains stakeholder commitment even for the most challenging of stakeholders.Contract Management - Ensures the contract and any contractual variations are administered in accordance with its terms and conditions and also in line with any associated Ramboll internal policies, processes and/or guidelines.Ongoing interaction with customers and stakeholders about project status, progress, and expectations to improve customer satisfactionPlanning the project (milestones, activities, timeline and resource allocation)Ensure that Ramboll's quality assurance requirements are metEnsure that the project is delivered in due time and at a quality level that matches the contractProactive financial management of the projectHandle risks and opportunities in all phases of the projectCapable of reporting project progress to Ramboll senior management on a regular basis .Work actively to develop the project team's performance, collaboration and team spirit.Stakeholder Management Identifies and prioritises stakeholder interests and produces a stakeholder management and/or engagement plan. Maintains stakeholder commitment even for the most challenging of stakeholders. Advises on potential tactical approaches to difficult client, project team and/or stakeholder negotiations. Implements plans to diffuse potential conflict, either with the client, project team and/or stakeholders.Scope, Change and Benefit Management Ensures the project scope of work is clearly defined, and documented. Ensures the project team are aware of the impact of any contractual changes to project scope, requirements, schedule, resources and/or budget. Considers solutions to non-complex project challenges and seeks advice from others when addressing complex project challenges.Schedule and Financial Management Able to plan the project using front loading techniques and how project objectives and activities are controlled. Updates plans and schedules with actual and estimates to complete and is able to reschedule sequences to ensure target dates and planned costs remain viable. Defines the logical sequence of project activities and/or work breakdown structures and is able to identify planning and control dependencies. Ensures that the systems and tools upon which the project’s financial performance will be managed are in place. Maintains a forward looking project financial profile including for cash-flow, cost to complete, risk contingency, direct and indirect costs and turnover forecasts. Able to explain the project's outline and/or detailed commercial case including for direct, indirect and variable project costs and to show how project cost and budget deviations are addressed. Has the ability to calculate the physical percentage (%) of work completed e.g. number of deliverables completed against number of deliverables planned.QualificationsEducational backgroundMasters or Bachelor's degree within technical/engineering field, social science, humanities or scientific field.Communication SkillsFinancial ControlSchedule ControlStakeholder managementTechnical understanding (buildings)Experience/knowledge/general SkillsExperience Required: Professional (>12 years) experience as an engineer/architect plus >8 years experience within project management.Certificates And Other Specials RequirementsPreferred if candidate currently based in UAECandidates to have a background in the design of buildings.Middle East Experience Is PreferredPMP or PRINCE 2 qualified (preferred)PersonalityConfident and articulateLikeable personality, able to create a rapport with stakeholders at all levelsEmpathetic but capable of driving a team to be results focusedAdditional InformationAbout RambollFounded in Denmark, Ramboll is a foundation-owned people company.
