Uniting and working together is the key to our success.The OpportunityWe are looking to hire an OPU (Operating Unit) Communications Manager, who will create a communications and marcom strategy for NEW Africa (Nort East & West Africa) based on the ROPU's (Regional Operating Unit’s) strategy and priorities.He/she will plan, manage and execute all corporate communications campaigns, marketing campaigns and activities across the OPU covering brand and corporate communications, Human Pharma and Animal Health businesses.The position holder will localize announcements and regional marketing campaigns in their local markets across the OPU as relevant and according to each local market specifics and cultures.The OPU Corporate Communications Manager will partner with the GM and the business units in the OPU to support the business plan, help address challenges and capitalize on opportunities through communications activities including media relations, internal and external communications and crisis communications.This position is based at Cairo, Egypt.Roles and Responsibilities: External Communications and Media relations: Create newsworthy announcements that support the OPU's business objectives and outreach to the company's stakeholders Generate positive press news about BI and BI products, and CSR program and initiatives in the media across the OPU Localize corporate and regional press announcements in each local market within the OPU and manage subsequent media interest and relations e.g. follow up questions, media interviews, and others Manage PR agencies according to predefined performance standards, deliverables and KPIs Update the regional communications assets (key messages, Q&As) regularly with local data and news Manage the budget allocated by the regional Communications teamMarketing Campaigns to support Therapeutic Area Teams objectives and activities: Localize and roll-out regional multi-platform marketing campaigns according to market relevance, product availability, market access specifics, local culture and language relevance, utilizing traditional, social and digital media as well as other direct marketing platforms Develop local marketing campaigns around local events such as product launches and employee events Define KPIs for each campaign and measure and report on performanceChannel management and engagement (websites, social media, internal channels): Roll out and support the BI business in the OPU through digital media planning and optimization across digital media channels, digital content, social media and analytics both internally and externally in close collaboration with the regional communications teamEmployee Communications: Support OPU with internal employee communications including local Leadership communication Regular flow of news and information to employees through different channels to keep them engaged, motivated, satisfied, and informed Organize internal events and activities including but not limited to VTI, Townhalls, and employee information sessionsRequirements Master's / Bachelor Degree in Business Administrations and/or Journalism and Mass Communications. Experience in communications preferable healthcare experience or experience in highly regulated industries. Experience in working in-house as a communications professional or in a communications agency in the relevant region; Experience in pharma communications and marketing is highly preferred.
