Mechanical Foreman (Motors)

Job description: Responsibilities Lead a team of technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and direction in daily tasks.Schedule and prioritize maintenance activities to optimize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.Coordinate with production managers to plan maintenance activities around production schedules.Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize production interruptions.Train and mentor junior staff in proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels.Collaborate with procurement department to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials.Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment.Monitor and control departmental expenses within budgetary constraints. Key Requirements Proven experience as a mechanical foreman or similar role in the motors industry.In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, gears, bearings, and pumps.Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.Understanding of safety regulations and procedures applicable to mechanical operations.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
