ROLE: MUSIC PROGRAMMING MANAGER – EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY: THE FRIDGE ENTERTAINMENT Do you live and breathe music and the performing arts? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you! The Fridge is looking for an experienced and creative Music Programming Manager to join the region’s premier live events and entertainment agency. This is a dynamic role within an extremely experienced creative team. The Music Programming Manager will play a central role in the curation of programmes for new and existing projects. The selected candidate should have extensive experience in curating music and cultural programming in the entertainment industry in the Middle East.  Responsibilities include: Programme Curation: Conceptualise and curate detailed creative music programmes for live entertainment projects for The Fridge owned events as well as third party clients Oversee the concerts, promotions, touring and talent remit of The Fridge Work in tandem with the Project Managers and the dedicated talent booking team to develop curated programmes against client briefs for pitch presentations Develop unique concepts incorporating cultural performers and musicians for the GCC Understand the cultural nuances for performing in the region Keep in touch with latest trends within the entertainment industry Relationship Development: Developing a wide network of performers, musicians and artists and nurturing those relationships Identify and develop successful relationships with agents, promoters and production companies Ongoing research and outreach to ensure the latest and best artists and musicians are part of The Fridge portfolio across multiple genres and cultures Actively attend entertainment events in the region to discover new talent Programme Management & Delivery: Negotiate contracts with artists and suppliers to ensure resource availability and allocation Understand technical requirements and feasibility for each event programme Work with the marketing team to ensure relevant performance and artist assets are received and shared on time to promote events Ensuring strict adherence and maintenance of the budget as agreed with the Project Director Oversee rehearsals and onsite performances onsite where necessary to ensure the programme is delivered as per requirements Handle operational and administrative functions where required to ensure projects are delivered efficiently Ensure prompt and proactive steps are taken to resolve any issue that may jeopardise the success of an event Successful applicant will: Possess proven Curatorial and Programming skills in the entertainment industry Have at least 6 years experience in programming live events, ideally within the Middle East Be passionate about music and culture with a keen interest in the latest trends and artists Be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to deadlines Be friendly, positive, and professional; an excellent team player with great interpersonal relationship skills Have strong written and verbal communication and excellent presentation skills Be sensitive, intuitive, and patient with cultural differences and language barriers Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and are flexible depending on the deliverables that the project demands Arabic speaker is a plus Duration: Full Time Experience: Minimum 6 years Salary: Dependent on experience UAE Driving License and own car preferable Visa will be provided by The Fridge.
