Team GDC Middle East (ME) provides critical advisement and assistance across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), supporting various training and operational needs. We are seeking skilled Interpreters to join our team in KSA, facilitating effective communication between USMTM advisors and Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF).Job DescriptionInterpreters will play a crucial role in supporting USMTM's Land Forces Division (LFD) by providing interpretation services during training sessions, field exercises, and other mission-critical activities. The Interpreter’s role requires flexibility for temporary assignments within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and occasional travel within the CENTCOM AOR (including the countries of Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates). The interpreter provides the highest level of translation expertise in supporting US and Saudi senior level personnel and organizations in senior staff settings, conferences and government briefings.Interpreter's ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate interpretation from Arabic to English and vice versa for Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) designated personnel.Translate training materials, documents, and technical content between Arabic and English.Support team members during classroom instruction, field exercises, and night training periods.Assist in resolving complex interpretation challenges and support liaison with local Saudi government agencies when necessary.Knowledge/Skills RequiredProficiency in Arabic and English, with the ability to translate a wide range of technical and military-specific terminology.Understanding of Saudi Arabian cultural, historical, and geopolitical contexts.Familiarity with training centers in KSA including those located in Riyadh, Khamis, Tabuk, KKMC, Qassim, and Ta’if.Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting meetings and conferences between US and Saudi government organizations.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in interpreting and translating with the highest degree of skill for the highest government echelonsAbility to conduct research on military subjects to ensure accurate translation and interpretation.Experience in interpreting for military programs and familiarity with related regulations and procedures.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in sensitive diplomatic settings.Education RequiredCollege or technical school graduate.
