Job DescriptionThe Role:The Account Manager is involved with day-to-day support of clientprojects by drafting materials (i.e. stakeholder engagement plans, briefing documents, intelligence reports, executive positioning) and by conducting and analyzing research on a variety of client-related issues. The Account Manager is responsible for coordinating client meetings and events, and working on client deliverables under the supervisor of a Consultant .The Account Manager is expected to demonstrate strong tactical abilities and writing fundamentals, and have strong written and oral communication skills. The Account Manager will interface with all levels of staff and may have contact with staff members of the client’s organization regarding project issues.Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesAccount Management Duties:Prepares customized credential packages for prospective clients, highlighting APCO capabilities, relevant case studies, and high-level industry notes and observations (which requires a minimal review by project managers)Drafts complete initial proposals for client workParticipates actively in internal and client meetings, offering knowledgeable observations and suggestionsIs able to maintain email/telephone contacts with clients as needed, without requiring a supervisor to intervene on routine mattersContributes to and prepares the public affairs or communications related material with minimal guidance and review by managersProactively identifies external meetings and trainings to attend to build sector knowledge and contactsDemonstrates awareness of utilization and expectations, coordinating with project leaders to manage themClient Relationship Management DutiesDevelops understanding of client issues through research and monitoring of relevant issuesDemonstrates a strong client service ethicEffectively contributes to client accountResponds to requests from team in timely manne Communicates proactively with project manager and team on status of deliverables/assignmentsConsistently behaves in a professional manner when dealing with people in all capacitiesProfessional Development DutiesDemonstrates commitment to their own professional growth and developmentActively acquires knowledge about industry and practicesOpen to learning new things, responds positively to feedback from othersIdentifies and follows industry or sector of interestSeeks feedback on performance; identifies internal or external mentorTakes initiative to participate in training when availableReadily adapts and shows enthusiasm for learning new systemsAttends external events and networksAd hoc Assignment/reports: ▪ As per the Direct Manager’s requestsCompetenciesExcellent communication skills written and verballyExcellent writing skillsAnalytical skillsPresentation skillsResearch skillsAbility to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organization and time management skills, strong attention to detailInitiative skillsTeamwork skillsAbility to be flexible, resilient, solution oriented and creativeService-orientated attitude, proactive thinker, information seekerRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, International Relations, Public Relations or Equivalent3-5 years of relevant experience Work ConditionsThe physical abilities needed to perform the duties of this position, in addition to the office climate:Office environment is general office settingSome travel may be requiredMust reside in Dubai or be willing to relocateWilling to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulationsAbout APCOAPCO Worldwide is an advisory and advocacy consultancy helping leading public and private sector organizations be catalysts for progress by navigating the challenges of today, acting with agility, anticipating social risk and building organizational reputations, relationships and solutions to succeed.
