With around 48,000 employees and a strong local presence, SPIE achieved in 2022 consolidated revenues of €8.09 billion and consolidated EBITA of €511 million.We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC E&I Field Engineer (Offshore Platform Assignment - EPC )Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Field Engineer to join our team for an offshore platform assignment on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical and instrumentation aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.Responsibilities: E&I System Design Review: Collaborate with the project design team to review and provide input on electrical and instrumentation system designs for offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process by reviewing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and providing recommendations for the selection of electrical and instrumentation equipment and materials.Installation Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems on the offshore platform, ensuring compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality control measures.Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors during the execution phase of the project, resolving any E&I-related issues or challenges that may arise.HSE Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and procedures throughout all stages of the project, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among project personnel.Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to monitor and evaluate the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems, conducting inspections and audits to identify and address any non-conformities or deficiencies.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of E&I activities, including installation progress, testing results, and compliance documentation. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project management and stakeholders.Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication, facilitating the successful execution of the project within budget and schedule constraints.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience (5 years) in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore projects.In-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and standards relevant to offshore platforms.Familiarity with EPC project execution methodologies, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.SPIE Oil & Gas Services is committed to promote diversity.
