Job Description And QualificationsII. POSITION SUMMARYThis is a Contract position, based at the NEOM Power Elements - Grid Project Site locations, working an 8 x 2 weeks’ rotational assignment. The project is being executed by the AIR PRODUCTS NEOM Green Hydrogen Project (NGHP) – Power Elements Elements (PWE) Project execution team and is expected to last approximately 9 to 12 months.The incumbent is responsible for working at the PWE-Grid job sites (Substations and Overhead Transmission Lines) to ensure the EH&S requirements implemented by the Contractor Organization(s) meet the intent of the project and AIR PRODUCTS EH&S systems. It is AIR PRODUCTS’ objective to achieve highest standards and performance levels during the execution of all project related activities. The incumbent will work closely with the Project and Construction Managers, manage a team of EH&S Leads and Supervisors and report to the Project Construction Manager and the Project’s Senior EH&S Manager. He/she will deputize for the Project’s Senior EH&S Manager if and when requiredThe incumbent is expected to have detailed knowledge of EH&S requirements and best practices related to construction and pre-commissioning safety and extensive work experience in this area.III, NATURE AND SCOPEDescription: Power Elements - Grid project of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project is building substations and Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) to connect the wind and solar farms with the green hydrogen and ammonia processing facility. Project Location: NEOM, Northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. IV. DIMENSIONS:Client: Neom Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC), a joint venture of AIR PRODUCTS, ACWA and NEOMProject Duration: Approx. 36 months (start in 3/2022)Number of individuals working on site: at peak 7.000 to 8.000Size of PWE-Grid EH&S Team: Approx. 20V. Principal AccountabilitiesThis position is accountable for the following end results:Ensure that all EH&S targets are met or exceeded during the Construction & Commissioning phases of the projectEnsure the full implementation of the project EH&S Plan Actively promote the development of a ‘Total Safety Culture’ and provide support during the implementation of all related (leadership) activitiesDemonstrate strong leadership at all times throughout the project phases Act as a coach, both for the assigned EH&S team and for ContractorsCoordinate with Contractors to ensure Approval to Mobilize and HAZIDs work activities in accountable area are completed in a timely mannerEnsure Contractors EH&S programs and safe work practices are reviewed and monitored on an ongoing basisReview and comment on Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis and Method Statements for all work activities in the accountable area to ensure accuracy and validity of the same. Ensure all work permits are adequately completed and fully implemented at site. Establish a program of inspections and audits in accountable area. Ensure EH&S information/expertise is provided to the site team when solicited to ensure compliance to AIR PRODUCTS standards and local lawsCoordinate safety training as required with the Contractor organizationsActively participate in and lead safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, established programsProvide leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the AIR PRODUCTS Sr. EH&S Manager / Construction Manager as requiredGive input to ensure the accurate completion of all EH&S reportsSupport the implementation of the Project Emergency Response Plan and review Rescue Plans within accountable areaFacilitate incident investigations and complete incident reports in accountable areaCooperate closely with area construction management, project security manager, medical team and contractor organizationsVi. Minimum Requirements And QualificationsLevel 6 education (degree in related discipline, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)Safety certificates in OSHA, IOSH or similar12 years’ experience on international mega-projects, at least 6 years working in a managerial EH&S roleKnowledge and experience of industrial Power infrastructure projects in middle east regionExperience in developing an EH&S culture that empowers the workforce to deliver EH&S performancePossess a strong passion and commitment to employee involvement, team building, diversity, and inclusionStrong planning, coordination, and risk management skillsEnergy, drive and determination to build up high performance safety management and to assist leading the Site Team to deliver the required resultsPassion for systematic, structured, and pro-active EH&S managementKnowledge & experience of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001Fluent spoken and written EnglishFamiliar with all aspects of Construction Safety and possessing specialist knowledge in one or two areas of Construction Safety (e.g., excavations, scaffolding, lifting, etc.)Being a good team player, good communication and interpersonal skillsPhysically fit and able to spend a large proportion of the day on siteAbility to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix with a variety of working relationshipsWillingness to travel and be based in remote locationAdvantages: Emergency response management qualificationKnowledge and experience of EPC managementPossess driving license Req No.49861BREmployment StatusFull TimeOrganizationGlobal Engrg Mfg Technology & EquipmentBusiness Sector / DivisionGEMTE MEETRegionMiddle East, Egypt, Turkey (MEET)CountrySaudi Arabia
