As an ASX top 100 company, Qube has the size to provide an impressive array of integrated logistics solutions.About The RoleDue to increase in our operations, Harvestco Australia Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Qube Forestry, require an additional 2 Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our team in Mount Gambier in South AustraliaAs a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic you will be responsible for the service, inspection and repair of Qube mobile machinery and ancillary equipment (owned, partially owned, hired and/or leased to Qube).Your Everyday Responsibilities Will IncludePerform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the Transport & Maintenance CoordinatorCarry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the Transport & Maintenance CoordinatorAttend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediatelyNotify workshop manager of any defects/damage on all mobile equipmentComplete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer, including detecting faults, disassembling parts and engines, repairing and reassembling parts and enginesEnsure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the Transport & Maintenance Coordinator for record keepingAssist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvementParticipate in any meetings including any prestart, HSE, maintenance toolbox meetings and any other meetings deemed necessaryLiaise with Transport & Maintenance Coordinator to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduledAttend Fleet roadside breakdowns as requiredQualifications And Experience RequiredMechanical trade certificate (desirable, but not essential)Minimum Of Two (2) Years Heavy/medium/light Vehicle ExperienceExperience in mobile plant equipment.
