Job Description And QualificationsEH&S Supervisor (Power Grid)Job DescriptionLocation: NEOM , NEOM GREEN HYDROGEN PROJECT380kV Substation, 380KV Underground cable and 380kV OHTLJob Overview:We are looking for an experienced Site EH&S Supervisor to join our team, who can manage the safety and environmental concerns of our 380kV Substation, 380kv underground cable and 380kV OHTL Project. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in EH&S, particularly in managing substation and OHTL transmission lines. The candidate should have excellent leadership skills to manage the project site by himself and should be competent in managing emergencies at the site.Key Responsibilities:Support the full implementation of the project EH&S PlanActively promote the development of a ‘Total Safety Culture’ and provide support during the implementation of all related (leadership) activitiesAct as a coach, both for EH&S team members and for ContractorsSupport the Contractors’ HAZID processSupport the implementation of the Project Emergency Response PlanEnsure EH&S Risks have been assessed and risk mitigation measures are in placeAssist project team in identifying project safety concernsCoordinate a program of inspections and audits in accountable areaEnsure safety equipment is regularly inspected, fully operational and color codedSupport the implementation of the Permit to Work processMonitor adherence to the LOTO work process, specifically that the LOTO is adequate and installed correctlyEnsure all permits are adequately completed and fully implemented at site. Ensuring (sub)contractors’ safety programs and safe work practices are reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basisEnsuring EH&S information/expertise is provided to the site team when solicited to ensure compliance to Air Products standards and local lawsCoordinate safety training as required for the Contractor organizationsActively participating in and leading safety promotion events, campaigns, competitions, established programsProviding leadership to ensure prompt prioritization and coordination of all unforeseen issues at the site, escalating to the Air Products EH&S Lead or Manager as requiredReview JSA’s developed by the Contractor to ensure all risks are mitigatedAttend Contractor TBT’s and Pre-Task Safety Talks and provide input where applicablePerform regular safety dialogues and formal PTW/JSA reviewsGive input to ensure the accurate completion of the EH&S reportsEnsure all incidents are reported immediately to the Area Construction Manager and EH&S Area LeadAct as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team as requiredQualifications and Experience:A bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental, Health and Safety or any relevant field. NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent is a mandatory requirementThe candidate must be well-versed and must have at least ten (10) years of experience handling EH&S issues in the substation and OHTL transmission line projectsMust possess a deep understanding of codes, standards, and regulations concerning environmental protection, occupational health, and safety, particularly in power transmission and distribution projects. Must have a deep understanding on the incident investigations,Excellent supervisory skillsBeing a good team player, good communication and interpersonal skillsMust be flexible enough to work long hours and travel to remote areas to oversee the project site. Experience in KSA would be an added advantage.
