Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at Dar Al Shifa Hospital in Hawalli, Kuwait. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, including recording financial transactions, preparing and maintaining financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will work closely with the finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the hospital.Under indirect supervision, monitors the business activities of the hospital through the maintenance of ledgers and the control of books of accounts. Performs advanced accounting functions. Prepares special financial and statistical reports and statements. Qualifications Competencies and Skills: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.(equivalent GPA should be distinction and above)Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience preferably directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Language: Well versed in Arabic and English languages – to read and to write, computer literacy – highly skilled in the use of spreadsheets and word processing packages.Computer Proficiency: Highly skilled in the use of spreadsheets and word-processing packages.Performance Competencies: Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, post to records and to foster a cooperative work environmentKnowledge of standard and/or accounting principles, methods, and applications.Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood by the customer.Knowledge of hospital auditing policies, standards, and procedures.Knowledge of software to quantify and illustrate complex financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and/or projections.Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.Ability to implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with various regulations.
