Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents, reports, policies, and technical content between Arabic and English with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, workshops, legal proceedings, and community engagements.
- Ensure consistency in industry-specific and mining terminology.
- Support communication with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with leadership, technical teams, and community liaisons to deliver timely and precise translations.
- Promote a safe workplace by accurately communicating safety protocols and procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Foreign Languages.
- 3–5 years of translation/interpreting experience (preferably in mining, industrial, Oil & Gas or related sectors).
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written), French is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of technical, legal, and safety terminology.
- Certification from professional translation bodies (e.g., CIOL, ATA, NAATI) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
Work Conditions:
- Site-based role at exploration/operational locations on a 2:1 rotation (as per project needs).
- Collaborative, multicultural work environment.
- Occasional travel may be required to support field operations and community outreach.
- Full compliance with AGA values, safety standards, and operational procedures is required.
