Vacancy - The Aquila School Dubai - Exams officer
Purpose of Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our school as the Examinations Officer .
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of our school operations overseeing all aspects of internal and external examinations.
The Aquila School opened in September 2018, initially with only primary children, growing to become a mixed 3-18 through school in future years.
The school is located in a residential area of Dubailand and focuses on providing children with amazing learning.
We have grown very quickly and expect to have around 1450 pupils from FS1 to Y13 in this new school year.
We offer a range of GCSEs/IGCSEs in year 11 and IBDP, IBCP and BTech pathways in our sixth form
Children and families love our school due to our focus on amazing learning and developing a sense of community and school connectedness.
Staff enjoy working here because they are genuinely empowered to teach the children what they need to learn right now.
The Aquila School is the first new build school designed and managed by The International Schools Partnerships (ISP) a comparatively new and rapidly growing organisation with schools in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, India, South America and the USA.
Key Responsibilities - Examinations Manager
Collaborate with Heads of Department to manage examination entries for students.
Ensure the school is licensed and compliant with regulations as an external examinations centre.
Communicate regularly with parents and students through regular articles and up to date information on examination specifications, times, rules and resources.
Keep teachers and families informed about updates and changes to examination specifications.
Lead and manage a team of examination invigilators, including recruitment and training.
Collaborate with the Head of Inclusion to guarantee appropriate access arrangements for students with special needs during examinations.
Oversee all external examinations in the school, including national assessments (GL Progress Tests, CAT4, PASS, PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS) and public examinations (GCSEs, IBDP).
Analyse data from external assessments to inform school improvement strategies.
Excellent English language
To be line managed by the Head of Secondary Hours of work- 7.25am-4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 7.25am to 12pm on Fridays plus occasional evening, weekend and Friday afternoon work- including all times when our pupils are sitting public examinations.
Holidays- School holidays as per the school KHDA approved calendar plus five days work during the school summer holidays the week before other staff return.
Attendance is required on staff training days which are counted as term time.

Qualifications And Skills
Strong analytical and data management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience and understanding of data analysis tools such as PowerBI.
Experience in educational data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of the British and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
Experience in managing external examinations, including national assessments and public examinations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong educational background and understanding of what data is required to move the school forward on it’s journey to outstanding
