Engineer II, Quality & Testing

We empower our customer to focus on its missions, confident that its land-based platforms and systems, warfighters and other personnel are in optimal condition to operate at peak performance.Key Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision of all assigned Estimator(s), Material and Process; and Controller(s), Document . Work closely with the design & modelling and SIL engineers to ensure that all phases of the customer cycle, from early customer involvement through post-delivery support are meeting or exceeding requirements. Provide independent evaluation of technical reviews to ensure acceptable technical rigour is being applied to the process. Provide leadership and support for continuous improvement activities including determining quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to the manufacturing process. Develop test methods, procedures and quality provisions for technical data packages. Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error. Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB) and Change Control Board (CCB). Establish statistical reliability by using mean time before failure, Weibull 3-paramtere distribution, reliability modelling and reliability demonstration tests. Develop experiments by applying full and fractional techniques. Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable and sequential sampling methods. Analyse data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution and process capability analysis tests. Ensure that manufacturing engineering, operations and design engineering interact sufficiently throughout the product planning and design phases to ensure a seamless hand-off during product transition to production (Production Readiness Review [PRR]). Prepares reports by collecting, analysing and summarising data then making recommendations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal network and participating in professional societies etc. Learn, understand and comply with applicable contractual obligations and established AL TAIF Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information. Support other members of the Engineering Department in fulfilling their roles. Perform other duties as required by the Senior Manager. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor degree in Mechanics, Electrics, Software or other related field required; Master degree preferred A minimum of five to six years of experience working in product quality is required; in the automotive sector is preferred. A minimum of five to six years of experience supervising and/or managing a team is preferred. Previous military experience is an advantage. Experience working on multiple discipline projects using structured analysis principles and methods is an advantage. A high level of proficiency in all automotive system electrical designs is an advantage. An understanding of system design standards, policies, precedents, and authorised or alternative approaches is required. Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office software and CMMS is preferred. The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required; Arabic is an advantage. Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license. #ALTAIF
