Job Description

  • Maintaining knowledge of the market, in addition to current prices and fair rates for goods 
  • Planning policies and procedures for efficiently, economically and productively purchasing goods for supply chain production and operation 
  • Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts 
  • Overseeing sources for purchasing supplies 
  • Maintaining company budget and streamlining costs 
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies 
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness 
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms 
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation 
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power 
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking 
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks 
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers 
  • Overseeing the full Shipping process

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree 
  • 10-15 years of experience in similar role (preferably agriculture/food sectors) 
  • Experience in Shipping
  • Proven track record of Team Leadership 
  • Very Good – Excellent English  
  •  Proven track record in negotiation and business networking
