Job Description
- Maintaining knowledge of the market, in addition to current prices and fair rates for goods
- Planning policies and procedures for efficiently, economically and productively purchasing goods for supply chain production and operation
- Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers, including the negotiation of service agreements and contracts
- Overseeing sources for purchasing supplies
- Maintaining company budget and streamlining costs
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Overseeing the full Shipping process
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- 10-15 years of experience in similar role (preferably agriculture/food sectors)
- Experience in Shipping
- Proven track record of Team Leadership
- Very Good – Excellent English
- Proven track record in negotiation and business networking
