Job Description
This position reports directly to the Project Technical Director and plays a key role in coordinating across departments. The engineer is empowered to review project deliverables, contribute to technical decisions within their scope, and take full responsibility for preparing execution drawings, reviewing design documents, and managing technical abstracts.
responsibilities:
- Prepare and review BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and detailed quantity surveying for road works and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct pricing analysis and develop cost breakdowns for tenders and running projects.
- Review contract documents, technical specifications, and ensure alignment with execution requirements.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate execution and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and modify shop drawings, cross-sections, and typical details based on approved design drawings.
- Follow up on material submittals and ensure compliance with consultant requirements and project specs.
- Handle technical documentation, including as-built drawings, RFI logs, and method statements.
- Liaise with consultants and government authorities for drawing approvals, revisions, and compliance matters.
- Support in contract variation claims, quantity changes, and project time extension justifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in organizing the technical office workflow efficiently.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of experience in technical office roles for road/infrastructure projects
- Strong skills in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and shop drawing preparation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet fast-track project deadlines

- Previous experience in military or national infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with governmental approval procedures
- Experience in fast-paced or high-volume project environments
