Job Description
- Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations.
- File SED's (Shippers Export Declarations)
- Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
- Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
- Communicate with customers regarding disposition of freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
- Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
- Seek the most profitable mode of shipment, yet meet customer's requirement for the movement of freight.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree, preferrable in logistics management.
- Professional experience in import / export logistical operations.
- Excellent command in English is an asset
- Have a strong knowledge of “Temporary Permit System”
- Having a driving license.
- Able to work under pressure whenever is required.
- Proficiency in working with the NAFEZA System.
- Strong understanding of all “Customs Clearance” cycles.
- Background in freight forwarding.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Import & export processes.
- Familiarity with Export Documentation.
- Skilled in obtaining competitive pricing from shipping lines & inland transportation.
