Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team, with a unique hybrid role that blends predictive modeling, data engineering, and data pipeline architecture. This role requires hands-on experience across the full data lifecycle — from ingestion and transformation to modeling and visualization — to deliver scalable and actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to support business decision-making.
- Apply advanced statistical methods and time-series forecasting techniques.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on large, complex datasets.
- Continuously monitor model performance and retrain as needed.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Airflow, SSIS, and custom Python/SQL solutions.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, APIs, and external systems.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are met throughout pipelines.
- Design and build impactful dashboards using Power BI to visualize model output and business KPIs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate analytical insights into actionable strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Work closely with product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
- Mentor junior data scientists and data engineers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a data science or data engineering role.
- Proven experience with Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, etc.) and SQL Server.
- Solid understanding of ETL tools such as SSIS, and workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Experience working with RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems in distributed data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in building and deploying predictive models to production.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI for data visualization.
- Practical understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD workflows.
- Exposure to big data tools like MongoDB.
