Job Description
- Prepare and serve a wide range of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Lead and mentor junior baristas, providing training and guidance to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Oversee daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Calibrate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure peak performance and beverage quality.
- Assist in developing new beverage recipes and seasonal menu items to enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor sales and provide feedback to management on customer preferences and product performance.
- Handle cash register operations, process transactions accurately, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Promote a positive team environment by fostering open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect among staff.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years and up to 6 years of experience as a barista or in a similar coffee service role.
- Proven expertise in preparing a variety of espresso-based and specialty coffee drinks.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility to work full-time, under various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints or operational challenges professionally.
