Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Manager to oversee the management, development, and support of our Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in MS Dynamics NAV, responsible for ensuring the system's stability, performance, and alignment with our business processes. This role is pivotal in driving the continuous improvement and effective utilization of our ERP system to support and enhance our operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration and Support:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the MS Dynamics NAV application, ensuring system uptime and performance.
- Provide first and second-level support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues in a timely manner.
- Oversee user access control, security roles, and permissions within the NAV environment.
- Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors for advanced technical support and system maintenance.
- Application Development and Enhancement:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for system modifications and enhancements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for customizations, integrations, and new features.
- Manage the development, testing, and deployment of customizations and updates to the NAV system.
- Lead and participate in projects related to NAV upgrades, implementations of new modules, and integrations with other business applications.
- Ensure proper documentation of all system changes and configurations.
- Process Improvement and Strategy:
- Act as a key liaison between the IT department and various business units (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.) to ensure the NAV system effectively supports business processes.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation through the effective use of MS Dynamics NAV.
- Contribute to the strategic planning for the future of our ERP system, including potential migrations to newer versions like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- User Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing users on NAV functionalities and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- In-depth functional and technical knowledge of core MS Dynamics NAV modules, including Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they are supported by ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources.
- Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience with SQL Server administration.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
