Job Description
- Develop and maintain accurate Building Information Models (BIM) for lighting projects using industry-standard software such as Revit.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and lighting designers to integrate lighting systems into overall project models.
- Produce detailed 3D models, construction documents, and visualizations to support design intent and project coordination.
- Ensure all BIM deliverables adhere to project standards, specifications, and client requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and optimize model accuracy.
- Update and manage model data throughout the project lifecycle, reflecting design changes and as-built conditions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of BIM standards, templates, and workflows for continuous process improvement.
- Perform clash detection and provide solutions to mitigate design and construction issues.
- Support the preparation of presentations, renderings, and technical documentation for client and stakeholder review.
- Maintain organized digital files and ensure proper documentation of all modeling activities.
Job Requirements
- 1-5 years of professional experience as a BIM Modeler or in a similar role within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of architectural and lighting design principles.
- Experience with model coordination and clash detection processes.
- Ability to interpret and work from architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and in an office-based team environment.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and documentation is a plus.
