Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated senior database engineer to join the project’s team. As a senior data engineer, his main goal is to be a few steps ahead of other teams, supporting them with the required data infrastructure, tools, and data pipelines.
Job Requirements
The data engineer shall have as a minimum the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences)
- 5-6 years of experience in data engineering
- Excellent organizational and project implementation skills; efficient, accurate, and high-quality delivery of all work-related output
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of verbal and written English and Arabic
- Experienced in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Experienced in content database management concepts and working with cloud data warehouses.
- Familiar with elastic databases and elastic search.
- Nice to be familiar with machine learning concepts.
- Familiar with data pipeline orchestration.
- Able to take initiative and lead the way.
- Focused on the details and have a passion for data quality.
- High work ethic, reliability, and motivation, able to handle multiple simultaneous assignments with competing priorities, under the condition of tight time schedules and fixed deadlines.
