Job Summary / Overview:

As a dedicated and vigilant Physical Security Specialist with experience in Octopus Outsourcing, this role is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of both employees and company assets. With a strong background in security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response, skilled in implementing and monitoring comprehensive physical security measures such as access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and alarm systems

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  1. Monitoring and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols to monitor and maintain the security of the facility. Use surveillance systems, such as CCTV cameras, to observe and identify any security risks or suspicious activities. 
  2. Access Control: Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry. Monitor and manage the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles. 
  3. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches. Take appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals within the facility. 
  4. Incident Reporting: Document and report any security incidents, accidents, or breaches promptly and accurately. Maintain detailed records of events and provide necessary information for investigations. 
  5. Alarm Systems: Monitor and respond to alarms, including intrusion alarms, fire alarms, and other security systems. Investigate and address any potential security threats or breaches.
  6. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees, clients, and visitors. Assist with inquiries, direct individuals to appropriate locations, and provide a helpful and friendly presence. 
  7. Risk Assessment: Identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to enhance the physical security of the facility. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement necessary security measures. 
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other security personnel, management, and relevant departments to develop and implement security protocols, policies, and procedures. Participate in training programs to stay updated on security best practices. 
  9. First Aid and Safety: Possess knowledge of basic first aid and safety procedures. Provide immediate assistance in case of medical emergencies and coordinate with relevant authorities, such as paramedics or fire departments. 
  10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to physical security. Stay up-to-date with relevant security laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Main Job Requirements:

 Education and Specific Training 

  • Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience:

  • 2+ Years work experience in relevant fields

Special Certifications:

  • Fire-fighting, HSE, ISO 45001, CPP 

Technical Skills:

  •  Knowledge of Security Systems: Familiarity with various physical security systems and technologies, such as access control systems, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and visitor management systems, is essential.
