Job Description
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel products and materials.
- Prepare and package materials for shipment according to specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to meet operational needs.
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and safety compliance.
Job Requirements
- diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
