We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications, providing technical support to clients, and collaborating with development teams for ongoing maintenance and updates. The candidate should be adept at troubleshooting issues, optimizing applications, and staying updated on the latest technologies in the field.
Responsibilities:
Client Technical Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to clients.
- Relay client feedback and issues to the development teams for ongoing maintenance and updates.
Report and Dashboard Development:
- Develop reports and dashboards as required to meet business needs.
Daily Operations, Monitoring and Investigation:
- Monitor daily operation cycles, reports, and logs to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Conduct thorough investigations into reported problems, ensuring a swift resolution.
- Perform server updates and periodic maintenance.
Vendor Interaction:
- Open and manage tickets with vendors for third-party applications or services.
- Follow up on tickets to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Customer Ticket Management:
- Respond to, follow up, and resolve customer tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
Application Optimization:
- Optimize applications by integrating new technologies and performing necessary upgrades.
- Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to enhance application performance.
Innovation and Documentation:
- Generate innovative ideas for software improvements based on market trends.
- Document development processes, procedures, and maintain application version histories.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of advancements in application engineering and new technologies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for skill enhancement and professional development.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and analysis.
- Basic command line skills for troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good understanding of network fundamentals.
- Telecom and/or application support experience is highly desirable.
- proficiency in handling XML and JSON data formats.
