Job Description
Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage the financial accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and support for strategic decision-making. The role focuses on managing financial transactions, audits, and reporting related to real estate projects, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor project-level accounting, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and cash flow forecasting for real estate projects.
- Manage and reconcile fixed asset registers and investment properties.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with project and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, real estate regulatory requirements, and local Egyptian Accounting Standard.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
- Manage the financial reporting for property acquisitions, sales, and lease agreements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff.
Job Requirements
- 7 - 10 years of experience as an accountant in, preferably within the Real Estate sector.
- Proven experience (minimum 7 years) as Accounting Manager.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant ACCA, CPA, CMA, IFRS.
- Deep understanding of Egyptian accounting standards, reporting, and taxation.
- Excellent communication, and management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and financial planning capabilities.
- Fluency in English is preferred.
