Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead our finance operations within a dynamic travel company in Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Egyptian tax regulations, managing weekly and Monthly financial reporting.
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, etc.)
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements (including VAT, WHT, and corporate taxes)
- Prepare all necessary financial analyses and documentation to support tax inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop internal controls and ensure proper implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting activities to support business operations and growth
- Prepare financial reports for Managing Director to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain and improve accounting Oracle system
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, reservations, operations) to ensure financial accuracy across all company functions
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
