We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accounting Section Head to lead and oversee the cost accounting functions within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost accounting, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves supervising a team, preparing and analyzing periodic reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
*Key Responsibilities:
-Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including the review, distribution, and direction of cost-related transactions and financial reporting.
-Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost-related financial data, and investigate any variances between periods, providing explanations for discrepancies.
-Prepare and analyze periodic cost reports, offering insights to guide business decisions.
-Review and implement accounting policies and procedures to generate timely and accurate reports for other departments.
-Supervise and mentor the cost accounting team, ensuring their professional development and effective performance.
-Stay current with changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations, ensuring that the company remains compliant.
Job Requirements
*Qualifications and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
-Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on managing cost accounts, and a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
-Proficiency in accounting software, with a preference for SAP.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to inform business strategies.
-Leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
-High attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
-Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-Professional certifications such as CMA are a plus.
-Experience in the construction sector is an advantage.
