Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
- Delegate tasks and oversee project assignments.
- Provide mentoring and support to team members to foster professional development.
- Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, requirements, and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address any issues.
- Review and approve electrical drawings.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during project execution.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, clients, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with procurement for materials and equipment needed for projects.
- Facilitate communication between the technical team and other departments.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects project progress.
- Analyze project performance and provide recommendations for future projects.
Job Requirements
- Degree: A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .
- Experience: Several years of experience in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license may be required or preferred, depending on the employer and location.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
