Job Description

Management

Manage the effective achievement of marketing objectives through the leadership of the marketing department– setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and the performance of the marketing department.

Budgets and Plans

Prepare and recommend the marketing budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential 

Standards & Regulations

Ensure that all activities are monitored and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standards

Projects 

Plan and supervise the implementation of department’s projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives

Organization Structure

  • Recommend an optimum organization structure for the marketing department so that resources are optimally utilised and communication can take place in an efficient manner
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Reporting
  • Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate reports of marketing department to meet SIG and department requirements, policies and standards
  • Health, Safety, & Environment
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls across the marketing department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
  • Strategy
  • Establish, develop & modify marketing strategy to achieve organizational goals for the company

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a business/aviation school
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in Marketing including at least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
