Job Description

Team Management

  • Lead store team to achieve store objectives through coaching, counseling employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff. Specifically training and educating new employees on the basics of selling and gift wrapping and the best ways to sell and mix merchandise as well as the story behind the brand and the product and how to sell newly launched products.

Customer Engagement

  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customers’ satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.)

Store Operations

  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services.
  • Communicate customer needs to merchandising and buying departments.
  • Overseeing stock control and receiving orders.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Maintain the security of store assets.
  • Communicate with HR about staffing schedules and issues (organizing rotations and holidays)
  • Control waste in wrapping, packaging, and store materials such as wrapping cloth and plastic bags etc.
  • Follow up on store cleanliness.
  • Process paperwork (payments, task sheets, maintenance schedules etc.)
  • Visiting competing stores monthly to follow the latest developments in terms of products, prices, display methods and new.

Job Requirements

  • University Degree in Tourism, Fine Arts or Commerce is preferred.
  • Relevant Experience of 4 to 7 years.
  • Crafty.
  • Excellent selling and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Creative, fast learner and a hard worker.
  • Experience in managing stores and sales.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Good English Speaker.
