Job Description
- Lead and supervise the execution of steel structure projects on-site, ensuring all activities comply with engineering designs, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Review and validate structural designs, drawings, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and feasibility before construction.
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, offering guidance on steel structure installation, welding, and erection procedures.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth integration of steel structures within overall project timelines.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, and performance metrics, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges related to the design, fabrication, and installation of steel structures.
- Manage project budgets, material procurement, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits on-site.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and provide technical support to the construction team
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in steel structure design and construction.
- Strong knowledge of steel codes and standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla).
