Purchase Specialist

Job Purpose:

Ensuring the timely availability of high-quality raw materials at the best possible prices

Responsibilities:

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers 
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers for competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of materials
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and monitor their performance to ensure consistent quality and on-time deliveries
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure that the necessary raw materials are available when needed
• Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings, such as bulk purchasing or negotiating better prices with suppliers
• Track and report on material costs, highlighting any significant fluctuations that may impact the production costs
• Collaborate with suppliers to explore new materials, techniques, or innovations
• Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner
