Job Description
- Manage the transportation budget to ensure funds are properly utilized and implement organizational objectives as dictated by management.
- Supervising employee performance, allocating driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining all vehicles in top working order.
- Follow up on the management of databases that detail transport activities, financial accounting, and employee schedules and personnel records.
- Responsible for manpower calculations in the transportation department and reviewing workload calculations and has the authority to hire and lay off upon coordination with HR and senior management.
- Review the training of staff in the department on policies and procedures and sharing information about new laws or technological advances.
- Follow up on the invoices of the external transportation companies.
- Deliver monthly reports to management (i.e. Maintenance, trips performed, KPIs, Etc.)
- Developing executive work programs to achieve the established goals, proposing work policies and studying the reports submitted to him by subordinates regarding the various transportation works,
- Provide the necessary guidance and notes in line with the implementation of the approved policies and plans.
- Follow-up of road transport operations of transported materials and goods,
- Follow up the volumes of goods before distributing them to vehicles to ensure compliance with the loads and weights determined in proportion to the traffic rules and vehicles
- Ensure the safety of road transport operations on roads that include his jurisdiction, follow up on correcting any errors, and address any problems in cooperation with the concerned authorities.
- Coordination with customers regarding transportation orders and the materials agreed to be transferred to organize the receipt and delivery process according to approved instructions and scheduled dates.
- Developing work methods and procedures and improving the quality of services provided. Technical and administrative supervision of subordinates, to evaluate their performance and achievements, and to propose programs to raise the level of their knowledge and develop their capabilities
- Follow-up and coordination of transport operations that are carried out by an external transport contractor to ensure that the same level of quality is provided in implementation in line with the company's quality policy
- Responsible for following up on periodic maintenance, curative and preventive maintenance, oil changes and fuel supply
- Follow-up and monitoring the implementation of occupational safety and health measures from adherence to prescribed speeds - fastening seat belts, safe distances, not speaking on the phone during the flight, etc.)
- Ensure that the movement of cars and temperatures are monitored through the tracking program and the devices attached to the cars
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related major
- Minimum 10 Years of experience in the transportation field
- Good command of English
