Job Description
The Customer Service Specialist will clearly identify current customer needs for company services and how they can benefit from partnering with the company on every shipment. Providing excellent customer service (follow-up, problem solving, communication) is essential in this position. Strong background in logistics, and a passion to work with people from different backgrounds are also a must.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle the entire import/ export air freight cycle (especially export) for customer shipments.
- Provide exceptional Customer Service to assigned clients, always striving to improve Customer satisfaction and share of wallet.
- Manage invoicing, documentation and filing procedures for operations in an orderly and timely manner.
- Handle inbound and outbound phone calls & emails with clients and suppliers in a timely manner.
- Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve service issues.
- Maintain and improve relationships with vendors, agents, partners and clients.
- Manage outstanding customer payments and ensure timely collection.
- Adhere to job costing procedures and timely closing of files.
- Be a professional representative of our company that other employees look up to.
Job Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
- High quality written and verbal communication skills (English & Arabic)
- High accuracy and attention to detail and strong ability to produce quality work under pressure
- Ability to work independently, and in teams
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent planning skills to managing daily routes and schedules
- Having a Basic Goods and a Dangerous Goods Certificate from Egypt Air are a great plus
- Must be Egyptian citizen and a resident of Cairo.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an air freight-related import/ export operations role in the shipping/ freight-forwarding industry of not less than 2 years
