Job Description

A Tour Operator Needed For: Trans Oceans Tours

  • Manage and process hotel reservations accurately and efficiently using various booking platforms and systems.
  • Liaise with hotels to confirm availability, negotiate rates where possible, and manage special requests (e.g., room preferences, amenities).
  • Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and amendments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reservations and related communication.
  • Provide timely and informative responses to internal and external inquiries regarding hotel options and bookings.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
  • Stay informed about hotel promotions, special offers, and new properties relevant to our tour offerings.
  • Troubleshoot any hotel-related issues that may arise before, during, or after a client's travel.
  • Contribute to maintaining and developing strong relationships with hotel partners.
  • Assist in the preparation of travel documentation and itineraries as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the tourism or hospitality industry, with a focus on hotel reservations.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. [Mention any other desired languages].
  • Proficiency in using hotel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, Opera, Fidelio, or other online booking platforms).
  • Strong geographical knowledge of popular travel destinations and hotel categories.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.   
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).   
  • A customer-centric approach with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
