Job Description

We are recruiting for our client multinational manufacturer of home and personal care products ,located in 6 of October -Egypt.

Position: Senior Procurement ( manufacturing )

Report to : Procurement Lead

JOB PURPOSE :

Procure and coordinate day to day purchasing of Raw and Packaging Materials for local procurement department, this will be by developing local strategies for the area, selecting the portfolio of suppliers, supporting the site in negotiation meetings with suppliers and negotiating annual contracts, according to production needs and clients’ specifications to provide cost savings and cost reductions to the company, maintaining the agreed service level. Whilst ensuring the supply of goods into the business is managed effectively.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing Buying
  • Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
  • Seek cost improvements in purchased products.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
  • Support contracts’ implementations
  • Lead, negotiate and execute all sourcing activities in every phase of the product life cycle.
  • Provide mills with detailed and timely information about terms and conditions of procurement contracts.
  • Support change management and stakeholder’s engagement
  • Conduct research for new components and suppliers

Deliver financial KPIs to enhance profitability and improve cash flow for business units  

Business Management

(Innovation, Savings, Localization & Resilience)

  • Team & cross functional collaboration: Lead strategic projects in the portfolio, through cross functional teams including, R&D, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Lead all pricing details for all innovation projects, ensuring to be added in all the project networks.
  • Manage, Explore & Initiate Cost Savings supporting our business & our customers.
  • Handling All RM & PM Localization projects aligning with our business need & vision.
  • Support contingency and resilience activities; identify and follow up on opportunities to add flexibility to the supply chain.
  • To ensure the satisfaction of customers with the services provided by the procurement organization.
  • Compliance of materials with Unilever specifications, through approvals granted by R&D teams.

Supplier Management


Manage supplier relationships including quality and supply issues, improving supplier performance, and building successful Supply chain partnerships.

  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure supplier POT (Payment on Time)
  • Supplier OTIF (On Time in Full) percentage
  • Supplier SNCR (Supplier Non-Conformance Reports) for material quality tracking
  • Contribute to short- and long-term service and quality improvement projects together with suppliers. 
  • Handling REACH Documents to be provided in full from Supplier.

Understand & act according to the relevant laws & regulations in the respective country. 

Purchasing Operations, Planning & Execution

  • Participate in meetings with planners, technical, quality and development teams to share updated information, cultural and professional experiences, provide standard information and know-how and processes improvement among all the organizational stakeholders with relations with procurement department.
  • Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Main point of Escalation with the supplier for all internal requests
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review quality of purchased products.
  • Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
  • Review, update and communicate on a regular basis demand plans to ensure that the contracted orders are placed at the correct price.

Think innovatively to turn issues/crises into opportunities for supply chain improvement, i.e., long term problem solving. 

Job Requirements

This is a barrier to apply for this job:

- From 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a procurement role.

- Extensive knowledge of personal care Chemicals & Packaging Materials purchasing within a manufacturing multinational company.

- Bachelors of Engineering is a must ,chemical preferred

- Advanced user level of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;

- Advanced user level of SAP; knowledge on legislation (ISP / REACH);
