Job Description

Supplier Identification and Management:

  • Identify potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and services.

Procurement Process:

  • Execute the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze procurement requirements, negotiate contracts, and finalize purchase orders.

Cost Analysis and Negotiation:

  • Conduct cost analysis to optimize purchasing decisions and achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.

Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Collaborate with internal departments such as production, engineering, and logistics to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and minimize risks.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Market Research and Vendor Evaluation:

  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies relevant to automotive procurement.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and conduct periodic reviews to assess their capabilities and suitability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost optimization and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and materials is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
