Job Description
- Perform regular electrical maintenance on production machinery, including conveyors, fryers, blenders, and refrigeration units.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in factory equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure electrical systems, motors, and control panels are operating efficiently and safely.
- Develop and implement scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) routines to extend equipment lifespan and improve reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs in the system.
- Work with automated systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and SCADA systems to monitor and control production processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment, sensors, and control systems.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety standards, regulations, and factory-specific protocols.
- Conduct regular safety checks on electrical equipment to identify and mitigate risks.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to the overall safety culture of the plant.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new electrical equipment or machinery.
- Suggest and implement improvements to electrical systems to increase energy efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with production teams to identify electrical issues affecting the manufacturing process and resolve them promptly.
- Communicate technical issues and maintenance activities clearly with non-technical staff.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and recommendations for future improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automation, and PLCs.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
