Job Description

Product Owner

Job Summary: As a Product Owner you will play a crucial role in defining and driving the product vision and strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and align with the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex products in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including executives, customers, and development teams, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements for new projects and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, software requirements specification ,process maps, and user manuals.
  • Backlog Management: Own and manage the product backlog, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing tasks to maximize product value.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the development team to ensure the timely and successful delivery of features and enhancements. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze and evaluate existing business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop optimized workflows.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee the development and execution of test plans to ensure that business requirements are met. Validate solutions through user acceptance testing.

· Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product owners and other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

· Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and continuously seek ways to improve processes, products, and team performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Development Solutions as Business Analyst.

· Knowledgeable of the product life cycle in different methodologies (Traditional, Agile, … etc.)

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex products from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving, with decision making ability.
  • Experience with product management tools.

· Excellent documentation skills.

  • Writing SQL queries is a plus.
  • ERP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies or platforms (e.g., SaaS, cloud computing, mobile apps).
