Job Description

  • The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
  • Auditing all TMG hotels on a monthly basis.
  • Monitoring and working closely with operators for Fire fighting systems.
  • Monitoring the fire alarm systems.
  • Work closely with Director of Security to check CCTV system, Elevators, access control systems, security systems.
  • Monitoring Kitchen Hood cleaning with the operator on a monthly basis.
  • Checking with civil defense and maintaining a good relationship.
  • Fire drill twice a year per hotel with authorities.
  • Check all safety programs in all TMG Hotels.
  • Check records for all safety and security systems 
  • Directs Rapid Intervention Crew for the rescue of firefighters as assigned; 
  • Accounts for and tracks fire fighting personnel at the fire and hazardous materials incident scenes;
  • Addresses critical fire-ground safety hazards; 
  • The ability to respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.
  • The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
  • The ability to ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area.
  • The ability to report any damages observed within the Resort area, whether it be guestroom, public areas, or any employee housing units through the Engineering reporting systems in place.  Reporting is to be done within one hour of discovery.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by direct reports 

Job Requirements

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language is highly desirable
  • Colleague graduate, general engineering aptitude required.
  • The high degree of initiative, motivation, and endurance.

Knowledge of:

  • Safety law requirements.
  • Operational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Record keeping and report writing.
  • Fire fighting principles and practices.
  • Hydraulics and their application to the operation of fire apparatus.
  • Fire Department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • The geographical layout of the property, and hydrant locations.
  • Emergency Medical techniques.
  • Fire salvage and overhaul operations.
  • Building construction.
  • Hygiene
  • Food Safety
  • Identify hazard.
  • Conduct risk assessment.
  • Promote safety practice
  • Set lines that can’t be crossed.
  • Work cooperatively with other City employees and the public.
  • Operate power-driven machineries such as lawnmowers and Hurst tools.
  • Perceive red, yellow, and blue colors to recognize hazards identified by fire diamonds.
  • Tolerate extreme fluctuations in temperature while performing job duties.
  • Work for long periods of time, requiring sustained physical activity and intense concentration.
  • Rely on the sense of sight and hearing to help determine the nature of an emergency and make operational decisions.
  • Make life and death decisions during emergency situations.
  • Comprehend and make inferences from material written in the English language.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
  • Make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of control mechanisms such as operating levers, pedals, and valves.
  • Observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.
  • Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time to perform emergency medical services, or perform duties on the fire ground.
  • Understand apparatus limitations as related to apparatus response and fire suppression activities.
  • Understand the effects of fire involvement and spread as related to the rescue of firefighters.
  • Identify critical incident scene safety factors and address them appropriately.
  • Understand and operate Incident Management System.
  • Use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and protective clothing to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
