Job Description
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, including contractors, transport providers, import/export agents, trackers, brokers, and customs clearance agents.
- Monitor shipping line operations, liaising with agents to ensure smooth logistics and timely deliveries.
- Submit Verified Gross Mass (VGM) for export shipments in compliance with regulations.
- Evaluate suppliers based on predefined criteria to determine their eligibility for the company’s whitelist.
- Manage operational filing and data entry, ensuring accurate documentation of supplier transactions.
- Handle supplier settlements, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Oversee all supplier-related matters, acting as the main point of contact for supplier coordination.
- Make reservations with shipping lines or agents
- Organize and maintain supplier documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Verify supplier invoices, checking for accuracy and resolving any billing issues.
Job Requirements
- Experience in supplier management, logistics, or procurement (2-4 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and shipping procedures.
- Excellent organizational and data management skills.
- Ability to negotiate and coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
