Job Description
Overview
- The General Manager will have the overall responsibility of the day to day management of the company and his duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup the operation in Egypt in line with the Company’s objectives, standards and guidelines and with the support and guidance of the Executive Management Team and / or other appointed Executive(s)
- Build, enable and retain the Team by employing the right skilled and competent resources in the right roles and positions
- Oversee the implementation & achievement of the corporate business objectives & strategies
- Assume complete ownership & delivery of the company’s P&L budget
- Ensure the sound financial performance of the company
- Develop solid working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. key Customers, Channel Partners and Vendors)
- Act as the main ambassador of the Company, safeguard & promote its reputation in the market
- Assume the overall responsibility for the operational functioning of the company
- Ensure the Company’s Compliance & Governance policies are adhered to at all times
- Continuously take applicable measures to ensure the company is in a leading market share position
- Drive high performance through leadership & continuous Team / Staff inspiration and motivation
- Oversee the deployment and execution of the company’s policies locally, through coordination within the different divisions, in liaison with the relevant HO Teams whenever applicable
- Lead & orchestrate the activities both with internal (sales, product & marketing Teams) & external (Partners & Vendors) stakeholders to design & implement effective and sophisticated marketing and sales strategies and plans to maximize revenue & profitability
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- The successful candidate will be a dedicated and driven individual with a proven track record in corporate / business leadership, decision making & achievement.
He / She should also meet the following requirements:
- Over 10 years’ experience in the ICT industry
- Over 10 years’ experience in managerial and leadership positions
- Degree in Business, Management, Finance, Technology or a related field
- A Master’s degree or other post-secondary degrees will be a plus
- Ability to own & manage complete P&L statement
- In-depth understanding of the following business areas: Accounting and Finance, Sales and Marketing, Operations and HR
- Broad understanding of technology products and solutions, and technology solutions delivery
- Experience in managing large scale, diversified B2B environment (100+ customers)
- Capacity to operate in a fast paced and challenging business environment
- Experience in managing multi-cultural teams and individuals with clear proven track records and references
- Robust knowledge and understanding of compliance and corporate governance
- Strong and clear ability to build, present and execute on strategic business planning, both with internal & external stakeholders
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and managing people skills
- Capacity to successfully identify and resolve challenges and problems
- Fluency in English. Arabic will be a prerequisite
