Job Description

  • Renovating the school’s Learning Support Policy.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the LSC policy. .
  • Managing the LSC team of teachers (if employed) and learning support assistants/teaching assistants.
  • Co-coordinating provision for students with learning support requirements (LSR).
  • Overseeing the records on all students with LSR.
  • Liaising with parents/carers of students with LSR.
  • Taking a strategic overview of all forms of support designed to ensure students with (LSR) achieve success.
  • Coordinating with higher management and program coordinators to ensure that the needs of all students with LSR are met and that they are supported to make good progress.
  • Supporting and advising the parents of students on the LSC Register, and particularly those parents whose children have an educational statement.
  • Ensuring that relevant background information about a child with LSR are collected, recorded and updated. And maintain a file for each students .
  • Maintaining the LSC Register and keeping precise data on students with LSR.
  • Ensuring that information required for the IB IAA (Inclusive Assessment Arrangements) is completed to a high standard and forwarded to the program coordinators.
  • Liaising with Local Authority staff, external agencies and other organizations with a view to obtaining quality advice and support that will enable staff at the school to offer quality provision to students with LSR.
  • Coordinating the organization of IEP (Individual Education Plans) and meeting with teachers and support staff each term to establish targets and review progress.
  • Organizing and implementing Trimestral/Annual Reviews for all students with educational statements.
  • Working alongside the Heads of Departments to maintain and monitor high quality intervention programs to assist lower performing students to meet the national performance standard for their age.
  • Supporting the professional development of teachers by delivering continuing professional development sessions on aspects of LSR, ATL (approaches to learning) skills and Pedagogical Differentiation according to different multiple intelligences. To propose the annual plan of workshop and enable the teachers to maintain high level of awareness by professional development
  • Participating in R&D (research and development) work along with the LSC team for the continuous innovation process and follow up with corresponding teaching strategies.
  • As an official representative, must show the example near his colleagues in the application of the rules of procedure of the school (appropriate dress, presence with the events, responsibility for the tangible properties, management of the positive discipline, management of posting, the application of the learner profile of learning and the application of the IB program in its plenitude).
  • Teacher and employee department, evaluation .

Job Requirements

  • Experience in teaching minimum 5 years
  • Superior Master Degree.
