About the Job:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical models and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and innovative mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
- Prepare detailed mechanical design drawings and models using BIM software (Revit).
- Conduct mechanical system analysis and ensure designs comply with engineering codes and project specifications.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate mechanical elements into overall designs.
- Perform clash detection, model coordination, and resolve design conflicts with other disciplines.
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and assist in preparing construction documents.
- Support the implementation of BIM methodologies and best practices within the mechanical engineering team.
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate project progress and technical findings effectively.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design and modeling using BIM software.
- Experience working with multinational design consultants.
- Proficiency in BIM tools (Revit) and mechanical design software.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating design efforts.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
Knowledge and Functional Competencies:
- Strong expertise in mechanical system design, modeling, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Revit and other BIM tools for mechanical design and documentation.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Ability to identify and resolve design conflicts in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and technical acumen.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across different disciplines.
