Job Description
- Ensure effective communication of company goals and initiatives with external stakeholders.
- Write and edit external communications pieces designed to engage customers and reinforce the corporate brand, including news releases, talking points, fact sheets, blogs, social media posts, brochures, and web copy.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate media outreach initiatives.
- Support and participate in the development and implementation of external communications programs and initiatives.
- Develop strong working relationship with other business units, local press and community officials, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in communications (media relations, employee communications or advertising).
- Proven, excellent communications skills both written and interpersonal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
- Ability to work independently and on a team and interface easily with senior business leaders and the local press.
- Preferred: Energy business/industry knowledge.
- Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field.
- Online content management systems experience a plus.
