Job Description

Archer Solutions seeks a Business Development Specialist to help in growing company’s profits through attracting new customers and by increasing the spend of existing customers. The candidate is required to have experience and knowledge in software industry, especially in ERP implementation services.

Business Development Specialist will work to improve an organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. He is needed to define long-term sales goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Business Development Specialist will work with the internal team, marketing staff and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for their organization. To achieve this, he needs to find potential new customers, presents to them, ultimately converts them into clients, and continues to grow business in the future.

Business Development Specialist will also help manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive. He calls on clients, often being required to make presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict clients’ future needs.

Work Environment:

Business Development Specialist will work in traditional office environments. He is expected to dress in professional business attire and work 9 am to 5 pm, occasionally putting in overtime hours to meet deadlines or sales quotas.

Business Development Specialist may travel to conferences, business meetings and industry events. So, company will provide transportation for all business missions.

If the specialist can deliver new clients and high sales volumes consistently, then his/her day-to-day methods and schedules will be left largely up to him.

Salary will be split, part of it will be a fixed salary, and the other part will depend on achieving planned sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Preparing presentations and sales displays
  • Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s products
  • Developing quotes and proposals
  • Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
  • Preparing sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keeping records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Building long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met
  • Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
  • Ensuring all team members represent the company in the best light
  • Working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Writing reports and providing management with feedback

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, MBA is a plus
  • Proven working experience as a business development , sales executive or a relevant role
  • Software and ERP market knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to cold call potential clients with confidence
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills
  • Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and associated programs
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
