Job Description
One of our clients is a leading Internet Services Provider is hiring Junior Backbone Support Engineer who will be responsible for the following:
- Troubleshooting both Core and Access network layers [Trunks, Gears stability, Power outages, Temperature violations, CPU, DSLAMS, Bandwidth Utilization, alarming and reporting].
- Handling Major network failure problems [Affecting Node, service (L2VPN, MPLS, Managed, and Inter-AS]
- Troubleshooting and maintaining the international links with the upstream providers in coordination with the core team.
- Responsible for network performance assurance such as identify service degradation or congestion and solve them.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, fixing and maintaining global outages caused by trunk [STM4,STM1, E3, E1] failure or device failure in Central Offices.
Job Requirements
- BA Degree in Computer Science/Telecommunication/ Engineering
- Decent understanding of the below topics is required:
- BGP, MPLS, MPLS TE, L3VPN, L2VPN, OSPF, ISIS
- TDM/ATM/Ethernet technologies
- Excellent command of English is required
