Job Summary
To lead, plan, and manage the company’s fleet and distribution operations, ensuring cost-efficient, safe, and timely delivery of goods. The role includes overseeing drivers, vehicles, transportation routes, distribution centers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the company’s fleet.
- Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are in safe working condition.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall operating expenses.
- Ensure drivers comply with company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
- Prepare reports and analysis on fleet performance, costs, and KPIs.
- Coordinate with other departments to support business needs.
- Monitor GPS and tracking systems to ensure effective utilization of vehicles.
- Optimize routes and scheduling to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency.
- Manage vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance renewals.
- Coordinate with Production department to support business needs.
- Prepare reports and analysis on fleet performance, costs, and KPIs.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time and accurate distribution.
- Optimize routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Supervise warehouse–distribution coordination to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Ensure product handling and transportation comply with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Customer Service teams to align logistics with business needs.
- Lead, train, and motivate drivers and distribution staff.
- Develop driver safety and performance training programs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 7–15 years of experience in Fleet Management, Distribution, or Logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of fleet management systems.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software
