Job Description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the company’s fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement fleet policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize productivity and safety.
  • Monitor and manage fleet budgets, including fuel, maintenance, and repair costs.
  • Coordinate with logistics, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods across all regions.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate fleet drivers and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Analyze fleet performance data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Schedule regular maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Manage vehicle acquisition, registration, insurance, and disposal processes.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, or emergencies involving fleet vehicles, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years and up to 7 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing medium to large fleets within a distribution, retail, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and route optimization tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams.
  • Solid understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fleet management software.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent situations and work outside regular business hours as needed.
